LILITH is based on the writings contained in the Talmud, Kabbala, Midrash, Bible, Kebra Negast, Zohar, The Alphabet of Ben Sira; the research of Siegmund Hurwitz, Dr. Barbara Black Koltuv, Raphael Patai, and Howard Schwartz; as well as Lilith’s appearances in folklore, myth and legend.

 

The process of sifting through the endless tales of Lilith revealed a natural and compelling narrative of her life, which I stitched together to create a fluid amalgamation of myth, theology, psychology and original fiction.
